Develops agendas for Board of Trustees and appointed commissions
Secretary of the Board of Review
Oversees property assessment activity
Oversees and supervises animal control function of the Township
Appoints members to Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Review, with advice and consent of Board of Trustees
Township’s legal agent
Acts as liaison between Township, citizens, other governmental agencies and municipal offices
Roads
The Township has no legal jurisdiction over any roads -public or private. Public roads are under the jurisdiction of the Oakland County Road Commissions and Citizens Services for the Road Commission can be contacted at (248) 858-4804 if you have concerns or complaints about road maintenance, snow plowing, clear vision problems, etc. Villages and/or subdivisions within those villages maintain private roads.
As to the major streets within the Township, Telegraph Road is a state highway, while the County has jurisdiction over most of the major north-south and east-west roadways (13 and 14 Mile, as well as Greenfield, Southfield and Lahser.)
